That's a Wrap! See You Spring 2026

November 26, 2025

As we tie up the lines and watch the harbour settle into its quieter months, we want to take a moment to reflect on what an unforgettable season it’s been on Toronto’s waterfront. Every year has its own personality, and this one showed up with plenty of clear skies and sunshine, lively crowds, island charm, and enough memorable moments to keep us smiling all winter long. Whether you joined us for a sightseeing tour, trusted us to take you to your island adventure, or simply waved at us from the Harbourfront boardwalk (yes, we see you, enthusiastic wavers — never stop), you were a huge part of what made this season so special!

Looking Back on a Great Season

From those first warm weekends of spring to the crisp final departures of fall, our boats carried thousands of passengers across the harbour — tourists seeing Toronto from the water for the first time, local families returning for annual Island outings, couples on sunset dates, groups celebrating big moments, and countless “we were just walking by and thought, why not?” riders.

Some of our favourite highlights from the season:

Unexpected Wildlife Sightings

Herons, cormorants, swans — even beavers making leisurely shoreline laps like they owned the place. And yes, our beloved pair of bald eagles were back for another season of nesting and majestic fly-bys.

A Fantastic Crew

We welcomed new team members and reunited with returning ones, all of whom brought knowledge, energy, and a shared love for our harbour and islands. (They also brought new jokes. We appreciated those too.)

Front-Row Seats to Summer Events

From the grand return of Canada Day fireworks on the Harbourfront, to the Air Show, the Festival of India, and countless summer festivities — our vessels often had some of the best seats in the city.

Sunset Magic

Thousands of you joined us for golden-hour tours, impromptu Q&A sessions, skyline photo frenzies, and those beautiful moments when everyone caught an airplane soaring across the skyline before landing at Billy Bishop Airport.

Unforgettable Celebrations

Birthdays, anniversaries, surprises, and even a couple of proposals (no pressure on next year’s passengers — but we’re ready if you are).

Every season on the water feels different, but the 2025 season truly reminded us why we love what we do.

A Few Words From Our Passengers

We read every single review (often with big smiles), and here are a few that made our year:

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“Went on this four years ago and decided to recreate one of my first dates with my husband again yesterday. It was better than it was four years ago! Definitely something to remember even if you are a native of Toronto like we are!”
— Nicole

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“I was very impressed with our guided tour of the Harbour and Toronto Islands. Every person we encountered working with this operation was welcoming, helpful, and gave us great information. That is how you run a business!”
— Gail

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“I booked a one-hour tour on my mom’s birthday after two years of living in Toronto, and I was just wondering why I didn’t go sooner! It was really fun and also relaxing! Highly recommended and thanks for the incredible moments!”
— Shima

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“My boyfriend and I ended up being the only people on the tour, which was surprising — until it poured rain! Our captain and tour guide were amazing and didn’t let the rain put a damper on the tour. They tailored the experience to us and had answers to all of my questions.”
— Lindsay

Behind the Scenes: What Happens in the Off-Season?

Although our boats are tucked in for the winter, the work doesn't stop. Winter for us is less about slowing down and more about preparing! Over the next few weeks, our team will be busy with the following:

  • Performing winter maintenance to keep our fleet in top shape
  • Planning tour upgrades, new storytelling moments, and next year’s giveaways
  • Improving systems behind the scenes for an even smoother experience
  • Dreaming about blue skies and the moment we cast off again in Spring 2026

We may be off the water, but we're always thinking about how to make your next visit all the more memorable.

A Big, Heartfelt Thank You

We can’t say this enough: Thank you! Your enthusiasm, your curiosity, your laughter, your “wait, let me get one more picture!” energy — that’s what keeps us going. Whether you joined us once or dozens of times, whether you took a quick water taxi or settled in for a full sightseeing tour, you were part of the heartbeat of Toronto’s waterfront. It is always an honour to share in your adventures and to celebrate the love we all have for the Harbourfront and the islands.

See You Next Spring!

As we look ahead to warmer weather, we’re already excited for next year’s skyline views, busy summer weekends, and the sound of laughter from our boats. From locals rediscovering the harbour to visitors seeing the skyline for the very first time, every trip reminded us of the magic of Toronto's waterfront.

We can't wait to welcome you aboard again when the warm weather returns. Until then, stay connected with us on our website and social media for updates, behind-the-scenes peeks, and special off-season announcements.

From all of us at Toronto Harbour Tours Inc. — thank you for choosing to ride with us and for another wonderful season on the water! We are eager to welcome you aboard in the spring
